Our professional development service is focused on developing leadership and teams to accelerate successful outcomes. We provide mentoring and tailored trainings through one on one sessions, group trainings and workshops in virtual and face to face settings.
Participants will understand the fundamentals of the ERSEA management systems and how to use an integrated systems approach for the ERSEA requirements. In-depth training laying the groundwork for accurately determining, verifying, certifying, and documenting eligibility, and strengthening knowledge and skills for meeting the regulations governing ERSEA as outlined in Section 1302 in the Head Start Performance Standards.
Upon completion of this training participants will gain an understanding of:
Eligibility - income eligibility requirements including calculation of family income, determining family size, and homeless eligibility.
Recruitment - processes and innovative strategies to use in recruitment and creating recruitment plans for maintaining a waitlist and ensuring full enrollment.
Selection - using the community assessment to identify selection criteria and understand the selection requirements and process for ensuring selection of eligible families.
Enrollment - processes for maintaining full enrollment, using reserved slots, and enrollment requirements.
Attendance - managing systematic attendance issues and strategies for promoting regular attendance.
Strategies include how to optimize technology in ERSEA and boost recruitment, reach and engage families.
